UPS launches Mexican air freight service alongside $50m logistics investment
Additionally, UPS has announced the expansion of its North American Air Freight (NAAF) capabilities, introducing time-definite heavy air freight service to and from Mexico.
The service will also extend UPS coverage across North America to better support production-critical supply chains.
Beginning in August, NAAF will offer 1-, 2- and 3-day service options to and from Mexico that help manufacturers move high-value, time-sensitive parts with greater speed and predictability.
UPS intends for the expansion of NAAF to integrate transportation, brokerage and warehousing into a single solution, reducing handoffs and simplifying cross-border shipping.
Reportedly, this will help reduce delays – specifically at the border – improving visibility from origin to destination.
UPS chief commercial and strategy officer, Matt Guffey, said: “Our automotive and industrial customers want an easy button for logistics.
“They need reliability, visibility and a partner that understands their supply chains – end to end, today and tomorrow.
“We have made strategic investments to build the team and the network that meets their needs unlike any other in the industry.”
