TAWI Launches NEW Mobile Lifting Solution for Loose Packed Container Unloading

Tawi USA, inc. Stand: 512
A worker uses the TAWI Container Unloader to handle goods safely and efficiently, reducing manual lifting strain while improving productivity during unloading operations.

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — TAWI, a global provider of ergonomic lifting solutions and inventor of the vacuum lifter, has introduced the TAWI Container Unloader, a mobile vacuum lifting solution designed to make loading and unloading loose-loaded shipping containers and box trucks faster, safer, and less physically demanding.

Developed for warehouses, distribution centers, logistics operations, and other high-volume material handling environments, the Container Unloader reduces reliance on manual and team lifting. The system allows a single operator to lift and move loads weighing up to 110 lbs. (50 kg) with minimal physical effort, helping companies improve productivity while reducing worker fatigue and the risk of lifting-related injuries.
The Container Unloader integrates a vacuum lifter, operator platform, and conveyor into a single mobile system. Using a trigger-style control handle, operators can grip, lift, and position boxes and other materials without manually bearing the weight of the load.

A patented jib arm designed for low-overhead spaces provides additional flexibility when unloading shipping containers and box trucks. The system can horizontally grip packages, allowing operators to access loads positioned near the top of a container.

Designed for deployment throughout a facility, the free-standing Container Unloader can be powered by three-phase electricity or an optional battery pack for cordless operation. Operators can maneuver the unit using a remote control or onboard controls, allowing it to move between loading docks, trailers, shipping containers, and other material handling applications.

“Finding, training, and retaining qualified material handling employees continues to be a challenge for many businesses,” said Nick Hajewski, Vice President, North America, TAWI, A brand by Piab Group. “Vacuum lifting can reduce the labor required for tasks that traditionally involve team lifting while making heavy material handling accessible to a broader workforce. Because the equipment performs the lift, operators experience less physical fatigue, which can support both productivity and workplace safety.”

The new Container Unloader expands TAWI’s portfolio of ergonomic material handling equipment designed to help companies automate repetitive lifting without sacrificing operational flexibility.
